The main west beach is the most popular has a long sandy beach and is ideal for swimming, snorkelling and water activities and the east beach is used by naturists. Palaiochora has an abundance of restaurants, tavernas and cafes all offering a great selection of traditional and international dishes. For those who enjoy nightlife there are several bars and discos staying open until the early hours and you have a huge selection of gift shops. From Palaiochora a number of excursions are available including Elafoniss with its turquoise lagoons and coral beaches, or perhaps Dolphin Spotting in the evening.
