Fodele has two exquisite beaches the first one offers tourist attractions such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops etc and the other which is more unspoiled is a little to the west and accessible only from the road.
Fodele is a village approx 20km west of Herkalion and birthplace of the famous Greek painter El Greco, who's monument can be seen in the village and about 1km north west of the village in the settlement of Archondika there's a museum dedicated to him.
