There is a smaller quieter beach in the village and 2 other larger beaches just outside the village. Agios Pavlos has a couple of tavernas in the village one giving excellent views over the bay and the other on the beach itself. The beautiful Byzantine Church of Agios Pavlos can be reached by a footpath going east from the village of Agia Roumeli and takes about 30 mins to walk.
Agios Pavlos is approx 2 hours from either Heraklion or Chania on the north coast. It is a delightful coastal village close to Agia Galini and its a perfect holiday getaway location.
